The Functions of Councils & Committees

In order to promote and to plan ahead the academic related affairs for the whole University, The Academic Affair Council, the Curriculum Planning Committee, the Academic Journals Editing Committee and the University Bulletins Editing Committee have been established with their functions described as following:

1. Academic Affairs Council

The Council members are consisted of the followings: Dean of Academic Affairs, Dean of Student Affairs, Dean of General Affairs, Director General of Research & Development, Head of the Main Library, Chief of Extension Education Dept., Chief of Athletic Activity Office, Chief of Military Training Office, Deans of the Colleges, Heads of the Graduate Schools, Chiefs of the Faculties, Secretary General of the Academic Affairs and representatives from teachers, staff members of the Academic Affair Division and Students. The Dean of Academic Affairs acts as the chairman of this council, responsible for the planning of academic affairs.

2. Curriculum Planning Committee

The committee members are consisted of the Dean of the Academic Affairs, the Secretary General, the Deans of the Colleges, the Heads of the Graduate Schools, the Chairmen of the Faculties, the Chiefs of the Teaching Units and teacher representatives. The function of the committee is to coordinate teaching and research planning affairs of the graduate schools and the departments.

3. Academic Journals Editing Committee

The post of the Chief Commissioner is held concurrently by the Dean of Academic Affairs. The committee members are formed by the representatives among the Dean of the Colleges, the Heads of the Graduate Schools & the Faculties and relating officers. The committee is responsible for the collection, arrangement and review of the articles.

4. University Bulletin Editing Committee

The council members are consisted of the major chief officers, of which the Dean of the Academic Affairs acts as the Chief Commissioner. The Council is in charge of the consolidation, editing and publication of the written materials.

5. Other Councils

Recruitment Guidance Coordination Council, and individual Faculty / Department Recruitment related Committees.
